We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join us in Dublin and become part of our 1,500+ global employees who work together to advance the science of safety every day.
Responsibilities You will be responsible for the fire engineering analysis of exciting projects involving new and existing buildings.You will work on a wide range of buildings such as high-rise office buildings, large retail complexes and airport developments, each providing unique challenges in developing an innovative fire engineering strategy.You will be tasked with analysing fire growth, means of escape, structural fire resistance and smoke control by various methods including computer modelling software such as Computational Fluid Dynamics. The preparation of technical reports and liaising with our clients, who include some of the largest building developers in the country, is an important part of your role.Requirements and Qualifications To set you up for success in this role from day one, the following qualifications/experience are required:
Right to work in Ireland.Graduated within the last 2 years with or expect to receive a Masters Degree within a Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace and or Physics discipline.Excellent command of written and spoken English.Additional qualifications/experience that could help you succeed even further in this role include: A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels.Excellent communication and time management skills.A second European language is an advantage but not essential.If you have decided a career in Fire is what you want to pursue and you hold a transferable STEM Masters Degree, please do get in touch and tell us why we should hire you.
