We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated and technically skilled Graduate GIS Consultant to join our growing geospatial team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be qualified in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or geospatial systems and have 1 – 2 years' experience working on complex infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop innovative geospatial solutions for our clients across a range of sectors, including Energy, Rail, Active Travel, Highways, and Water.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for GIS, to develop their skills and contribute to real-world geospatial analysis and mapping solutions.
Key responsibilities:Use ArcGIS Pro to conduct geospatial analysis, data management, and map production for a variety of infrastructure projects.Collect, process, and analyse spatial data from a diverse range of sources including Government open-source data (e.g. Tailte Éireann Land Registry), and field surveys.Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Assist in creating high-quality maps, visualisations, and reports for various stages of infrastructure projects.Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to integrate GIS into broader project workflows.Support the development of WebMaps using ArcGIS Online.Stay up to date with GIS technology innovations and apply new tools and techniques to enhance project delivery.Desirable skills / attributes:MSc degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), geospatial systems, or a related field.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience using ESRI ArcGIS and QGIS, (AutoCAD would also be an advantage).Experience with spatial data formats (e.g. shapefiles, geodatabases) and basic geoprocessing tools.Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript) for GIS automation would be an advantage.Strong numerical and statistical skills.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work within a team environment and under own initiative to support project delivery.Flexibility in approach to managing workload, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.A highly motivated individual who is open to new challenges and will contribute to the growth of the GIS Team in Ireland.
