Based in the middle of Cork City, we have experienced rapid growth over the past 5 years and are now searching for a Graduate Mobile App Developer to join our growing team and help build the next evolution of our software product.
About the Role: We're hiring for a Graduate Mobile App Software Developer on our product team at SmartRoutes.
You'll be working on one of our mobile applications, with a goal of progressing to development of both mobile applications.
Responsibilities: Continued development and maintenance of our mobile applications to provide a good and reliable experience for our users.Working closely with the Tech Lead to build resilient, performant features for our mobile application.Collaborating with the product manager and UI/UX designers to create seamless mobile experiences.Participating in code reviews, supporting, and troubleshooting issues.What we are looking for: A Computer Science degree or similar education.Experience working with mobile technologies such as the Android SDK.Experience with Java/Kotlin or Swift/Objective-C.Comfortable with Kotlin and/or Swift preferred.Understanding of the lifecycle of mobile applications and their various components.Familiarity with software design patterns and data structures.Ability to design with modern internet infrastructure operation in mind, including metrics, logging, automation, etc.Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.Familiarity with 12-factor apps.Comfortable with using development & debugging tools.Experience with application development technologies and patterns including Git, Trello, Confluence preferable.Useful Skills: Unix and networking knowledge.AWS or other cloud-based experience.Unit & performance testing.Understanding of RESTful technologies and API development.How to apply: This is a rare opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a software company that has a proven product and is looking to scale with your help and input.
