Process Engineer - Shannon We are looking for an Engineering Graduate with relevant process engineering experience either through a work placement or 1-2 years experience in this area. Experience having worked with laser technology is highly desirable.
Job OverviewThe process engineering function plays an integral role in supporting Element Six's production activities, ensuring processes are under control and performing at specified quality levels.This work includes understanding the fundamentals of process engineering, process controls, and continuous improvement.You will be the owner for process verification, validation, and improvement.You will be responsible for creating, sustaining, and improving processes.Identification and control of key process performance parameters and measures.Reporting, monitoring, and governance of process control, Cpk.Establishing process control limits and ensuring the process is operating within limits and product meets quality requirements.Responsible for process capability and performance.Identify and implement countermeasures to meet process performance and yield targets.Build deep dive understanding of process variables and implement root cause analysis to deliver robust solutions.You will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and documentation of process specifications.Create and maintain process control plans, specifications, and support the creation of standard work instructions.Takes ownership of process KPI's, FMEA's, control plans, capability reports, and continuous improvement plans.Ensure BoMs and routes are correct and up to date.You will be responsible for continuous improvement and process development.Focal point for process change control.Drive process improvement and cycle time reduction.Lead PPS and 3C's to address process concerns, quality issues, and implement countermeasures.Proactively seek out new production technology to deliver step change advances in process capability.Criteria SkillsA third level qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process, or Production Engineering or equivalent.Graduate with relevant work placement and/or experience of working with laser technology.An openness to new technologies and the ability to follow up on these independently.A motivated individual with a strong can-do attitude.Ability to lead, communicate, and appropriately influence project team members and work with cross-functional teams.Ability to relate and work effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal across all management levels.Strong analytical skills.
