Dell Technologies Customer Solution team are looking to hire a software engineer to join our expanding Demo Center team in Limerick, Ireland. The Demo Center provides hands-on labs and interactive demos to over 30K sales engineers and partners - forming a crucial part of Dell Sales enablement strategy. The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities: Utilize containers and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with development teams to streamline application deployment. Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and infrastructure issues, automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards, while delivering assigned project activities on schedule to support team goals. Contribute to the management and inventory control of the Customer Solution Center, ensuring effective resource utilization. Essential Requirements: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with graduation in 2023 or 2024. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and basic understanding of scripting languages like Python and Bash. DevOps and Cloud Knowledge: Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). System and Network Skills: Experience with base operating system installation/administration and knowledge of TCP/IP/Ethernet, virtualization, storage, and file/block concepts. Soft Skills: Effective communication skills and excellent team working capability. Desirable Requirements: Technical and Development Skills: Proficiency in Perl/Python/R scripting, programming, and development skills, along with certification in cloud platforms or DevOps tools. Professional Experience and Project Management: Project management skills and hands-on experience through internships or projects in a DevOps role.
