Are you our next Graduate Technical Consultant - Life Sciences?
Location: Dublin as part of our hybrid working model. Grade: Consultant Contract type: FTC This role would suit, but is not limited to, someone from a process engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceutical science, scientific communication etc. background with strong writing skills who can utilise their scientific/technical knowledge to assist companies with the preparation of the scientific/technical aspects of R&D tax credit claims. A strong STEM background is essential for this role. This is an initial 12 month contract. We would expect that this would convert to a permanent role.
A snapshot of your peer group: Third level degree or Masters. Grade 2.1 minimum. 1 year experience in research and development projects in the industry or in academic environment would be a bonus.Demonstrable technical report writing skills.Good communication skills, exceptional oral and written communications capabilities.Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with our clients' R&D teams.Willingness to assume responsibility, ownership and accountability.Time management skills as well as the ability to work independently and handle multiple client projects simultaneously.Strong organisational skills.Full driving license.Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect: Assisting the R&D team in providing advice to our life science clients in relation to the eligibility of activities for the R&D tax credit, including attendance to meetings, liaising with clients' technical leads, and review of internal documents.Researching and resolving queries both general and client specific in relation to the scientific/technical aspects of the R&D tax credit.Gather technical information from our clients' R&D teams and drafting technical reports detailing qualifying R&D projects.Planning, organising and executing R&D engagements on time and within budget.Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients.This role involves an element of hybrid working (4 days in office), and occasional business travel within Ireland.Prior experience with the R&D tax credit is NOT necessary. KPMG will provide the successful candidate with specialised training on the R&D tax credit scheme.Your team: Since 2004 our R&D incentives practice has been a market leader in this specialist area.The practice is comprised of people with a variety of backgrounds such as science, engineering, computer science, tax and finance. We work together to use our multidisciplinary skills to achieve the best for our clients.We work with multinational and indigenous companies in the life sciences space (including many of the largest MNCs engaged in pharma, biotech and medical device development and production) and assist them to claim Research and development incentives (mainly the R&D tax credit) for their investment in R&D activities in Ireland.The R&D tax credit scheme is designed to incentivise companies based in Ireland to develop or enhance new products or processes.Our team is expanding.
