Graduate Trainee Accountant Newbridge

Bord na Móna are seeking a Graduate Trainee Accountant to join our team. The Graduate Trainee Accountant position will be supported by Bord na Móna to complete the Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification over a period of 3 – 4 years (depending on exemptions). The position will provide work experience rotations across various finance teams within Bord na Móna while also supporting the Graduate Trainee Accountant by providing paid exam fees and study leave.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:Support the line manager and other members of the Finance team in the delivery of assigned tasks and projects, including the delivery of month end and year end. Use these opportunities to apply the theory from ACA studies into practice to ensure all prescribed competencies are achieved per the development framework.Proactively participate in the ACA training programme and in the Graduate Development workshops.Ensure CA diary, which documents required ACA trainee accountant work experience, is completed and reviewed regularly.Assist other finance team members with tasks and proactively seek opportunities to improve and expand knowledge and skills.Aim to take ownership of more complicated tasks as part of your progression through the trainee accountant programme.Engage regularly with assigned mentor to improve knowledge of the organisation and identify key areas for development.Proactively build a network of contacts throughout the organisation through work experience with different finance teams.Co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives.The Person:The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
Level 8 degree in Accountancy, Business or related discipline.Competent to work on Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both individually and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.The selection process for this role will include candidate screening from application.
