DESCRIPTION
The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is looking for a Grid Delivery Manager to own the delivery of large-scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines. If you like to leverage your technical understanding of critical substation projects, including cables and overhead lines from design through the energization phase, we'd like to meet you. Your work will help drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution, support financial budgeting, and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.
Key job responsibilities: You will communicate with senior and VP stakeholders to deliver complex projects across diverse teams to tight timelines.You will provide weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director, and vice president levels.You will drive the grid infrastructure delivery program.You will standardize processes and develop tools for delivery executions.You will support financial budgeting and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction, or related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience delivering HV/MV grid interconnection projects, substations, and overhead lines/cables, involving working with Electricity Utilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of HV/MV electrical safety standards & protocols.
• Strong organizational, communication, and team building skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's Degree (MBA/MS).
• Experience designing HV/MV substations or other energy infrastructure.
• Experience working for electricity utilities and/or energy regulators.
• Ability to converse in French or Italian is advantageous.
• Understanding of how to successfully transact business in multiple cultural contexts as well as experience directly managing international teams is a plus.
