We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team.
Your responsibilities will include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices.
If you have an accounting degree and are interested in gaining experience in bookkeeping procedures, we'd like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will help Ecocem's Finance function run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Requirements Role Responsibilities Processing invoices, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining the supplier/customer database.
Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
Managing payments, ensuring they are made on time and correctly allocated.
Resolving queries related to invoices and payments.
Assisting in month-end closing process.
Regular reconciliation of AR and AP accounts.
Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparation of Bi-monthly vat return.
Collaborating with the wider accounting & Finance team to maintain financial accuracy.
Assist with the annual statutory audit.
Maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information.
Ad hoc work as required.
Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounts Payable role.
Working experience with MS Excel and accounting software (Sage X3 ERP experience desirable) Experience with AP software desirable but not required.
Fluent French speaker desirable but not required.
Thorough knowledge of EU vat rules and regulations.
