Group Financial Accountant (12 Month Ftc)

Group Financial Accountant The Group Financial Accountant is an important and varied role within the Group.
The Group Financial Accountant will be working as a member of the Group Finance Team and will be involved in the preparation of month end accounts and the half yearly and annual report, along with assisting with the accounting and compliance for the Group's Irish head office companies.
Key responsibilities * Complete month end activities to ensure the Group's accounts are in compliance with IFRS, legal and regulatory requirements.
* Manage the preparation of the month end reporting including Board presentation * Day to day management of the Group's consolidation system * Complete compliance activities for the Irish head office companies including assisting with compliance activities from a tax and pension perspective.
* Assist with the preparation of the Group half yearly and annual report.
* Prepare statutory financial statements for the head office companies in the Group.
* Work closely with cross functional teams including the Finance Shared Service Centre and FP&A teams for budgets and forecasting.
* Other ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience * Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 1 year post qualification experience * Experience in a group finance team or audit of a Group company preferred * Demonstratable interpersonal skills able to communicate to all levels of the business * Proactive, organised and able to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines and have the drive to deliver results
