Group Financial Accountant

AA Euro Group are working with one of Ireland's leading construction & civil engineering companies to recruit an experienced Group Financial Accountant. Reporting to the CFO in their Cork offices, the Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing all the activities within the Property Investment and Property Development business units. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, the ability to interpret financial data, and contribute to strategic decision making.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain financial models, including budgets & forecastsFinancial analysis of all key metrics such as revenue, costs, profit, cash and return on investmentModelling of various financial scenarios to support strategic investment decisionsPrepare quarterly asset advisor reports for inclusion in the quarterly board packsPrepare quarterly bank reports and monitor covenant compliance for the ICAV lendersManage the annual audit process, liaising with the funds administrators and auditors, preparing statutory financial statements, and ensuring strict adherence to deadlinesManage the funds reporting obligations as an Article 8 level sustainability fund under Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations SFDRPrepare annual cashflow budgets for the development group of companiesUpdate and review cashflow forecasts monthly, tracking variances in yearend projectionsBuild and maintain development financial models for active and pipeline projects, including detailed cost analysis of actuals versus budgetsFinancial analysis of all key metrics such as project costs, return on costs and cash equity requirementsPrepare reports for development finance facilities, including drawdown requestsEnsure Revenue compliance (CT, VAT, PAYE, RCT)Ensure company secretarial complianceAd hoc duties as required in the finance department to support the growth and requirements of the businessKey Skills & ExperienceQualified accountant with minimum 10 years post qualified experience in a similar rolePrevious experience in property/construction industry is desirableStrong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skillsLogical and clear-thinking individual with excellent attention to detailOrganised, efficient and confident personalityAbility to prioritise workload to meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesAbility to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with others in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced MS Excel skills and proficient in using financial softwareExperience with Yardi software is an advantage, though not requiredPositive attitudeInnovative thinkingSalary & Benefits
