Group Technical Accounting Manager – Irish PLCBarden are delighted to have been asked to act on behalf of the Group Controller of a large scale Irish PLC to support the appointment of a newly created Technical Accounting Manager role within the Group Finance team.

ABOUT THE ROLE The successful candidate will join a collaborative, high-performing and innovative team, having responsibility for the technical accounting within the Group Finance function. Hands on role working alongside the Consolidations, Controllership, and Tax group and collaborating closely with all levels in the company. Hybrid working arrangements.
Ensure compliance with existing and emerging accounting and regulatory policies, including IFRS and Company Law.Liaise with various departments such as tax, treasury, legal, and M&A to provide accounting support and guidance for decision-making.Review corporate legal entities and non-routine contracts to determine accounting implications.Prepare and present technical accounting papers to management and auditors regarding complex transactions.Advise the finance team on the accounting consequences of non-routine finance transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and refinancing.Review and provide input on the Group's financial statements.Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to the Group's Financial Accounting and Reporting Policies in line with IFRS.Assist with regulatory correspondence and filings.Support the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards.Provide training and education to finance and non-finance colleagues to enhance understanding of accounting practices.ABOUT THE PERSON Qualified Accountant with circa. 3-5 years PQE, with proven ability to analyse complex financial information and translate into meaningful data with strong attention to detail.Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting and strong ability to evaluate and document technical issues, research and analyse facts.Strong ERP experience.Problem solver, solution driven with ability to work on own initiative.Apply with your CV.
