Health & Safety Officer OCC Construction are currently recruiting for a H&S Officer who will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with managers, employees and all stakeholders to ensure the consistency and continuous improvement of Health & Safety, Environment and Quality performance across the company.

Responsibilities · Ongoing development of the EHS Management system ensuring full operational compliance with the company's ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001 certification and procedures.
· Collaborate with operational teams to support Health & Safety, environmental & quality processes across the organisation.
· Ensure staff & subcontractors use project management tools Procore & Hammertech to comply with H&S processes and procedures.
· Ensure the company is fully compliant with European & Irish H&S, environmental and quality legislation to reduce and prevent hazards, dangers and accidents.
· Maintain accurate records of health & safety activities including audits, inspections, incidents, and all health and safety matters.
· Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
· Ensure the health & safety of all workers, subcontractors and visitors to OCC sites, ensuring use of PPE is clearly identified, usage is monitored and all safety notices are clearly displayed.
· Co-ordinate staff training & Toolbox talks.
· Support & advise on H&S Management & Compliance.
· Work with site teams and H&S Manager to promote continuous improvement and best practices.
Qualifications, skills & experience.
· Health & Safety qualification degree/certificate or undertaking same.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
· Knowledge of IT suites such as MS Word, excel Teams, Forms and other HSEQ tools (Training will be provided on Procore & Hammertech) · Previous construction experience desirable.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently, follow direction of H&S Manager and engage with teams across several sites.
