The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, and now certified a Great Place to Work, is recruiting for full time Hall Porters to join our professional and friendly Front of House Concierge Team.  Centrally located in Dublin within easy reach of public transport, this role will offer you the opportunity to work in a beautiful hotel where the highest of standards are in place and where you have all the tools you need to do your job.
Working alongside an experienced team, you will be offered plenty of training.
This is a really rewarding role on a team where you can be assured of a warm welcome.  Working 5 days per week, (39 hours) - weekdays and weekend work is required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to either begin or continue your career in one of the Leading Hotels of the World.
Working with a professional and welcoming Team you will be part of creating Merrion Moments for our guests and colleagues with your main duties including to:  Welcome all guests to the hotel.
Assist guest with storage, delivery and collection of luggage.
Deliver newspapers, correspondence and packages to guest bedrooms.  Safely dispatch guests vehicles to and from the Hotel car park.
Provide information to hotel guests as requested.
Assist guests with information on tourist attractions and facilities.  Keep front of house and back of house areas neat and tidy.
Deal with chauffeur and taxi drivers, tour guides and couriers and keeping the front of the hotel organised.
Park & retrieve guests' vehicles.
The successful candidate will:  Have previous experience in a 4 or 5* hotel in the Front Office or Concierge Department.  Have the drive and talent to grow within our dynamic and service driven environment  Have excellent communication and presentation skills.  Be knowledgeable about Dublin city and surrounding areas.  Have previous guest service experience.  Work well in a team.
Enjoy guest contact and communicate confidently with them  Demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
Have a genuine passion for service excellence.  Be computer literate and have knowledge of Opera or equivalent.

Your enthusiasm will be infectious and will instil confidence in the services offered.  Shift work & flexibility are required for this position.  A full, clean & valid driver's license is of competitive advantage.  About The Merrion The Merrion, a member of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World, is located opposite Government Buildings in the heart of the city centre.
