Your new company My client is a well-known Irish brand that specialises in the hub of the aviation industry.
Your new role Campaign Management: Develop, implement, and oversee high-impact communications and PR campaigns and strategies, monitoring their success.
Media Outreach: Engage with influencers, media, and other channels to raise awareness and understanding of The Shannon Airport Group.
Content Creation: Draft press releases, media statements, respond to media enquiries, compile publications, and plan events and press conferences promptly.
Brand Consistency: Oversee the creation of communications materials to ensure consistency with the organization's brand, including press releases and speech materials.
Social Media Content: Create content for social media platforms, including videos.
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist the Head of Communications in engaging with stakeholders.
Media and Internal Support: Provide media advice and internal communications support to colleagues.
Representation: Represent the organisation at events and press conferences.
Crisis Communication: Participate in crisis communication preparedness activities.
Event Management: Maintain and manage shared appointments and the department's calendar of events.
Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed Educational Background: A recognised third-level degree or relevant qualification in PR, communications, media, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Experience in a PR agency or in-house PR role is advantageous.
Communication Skills: Excellent writing, editing, communication, storytelling, and project management abilities.
Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to work flexibly, meet deadlines, and handle ad hoc assignments to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects with different deadlines simultaneously.
Strategic Planning: Experience of designing and executing communication plans and strategies to achieve business objectives.
Media Relations: Comfortable dealing with the media, including making media pitches, answering enquiries, and understanding print, online, television, and radio media outlets.
Digital Skills: Strong social and digital media skills, along with proficiency in PowerPoint and visual design.
Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Must be able to think analytically and strategically.
Data Analysis: Ability to independently gather, analyse, interpret, and summarise data to deliver insights.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, including the Marketing team, to ensure alignment of messaging.
Event Management: Experience in event management is an advantage.
