The position As a Head of EHSS site Athlone at Novo Nordisk, you will: Motivate, lead, and set directions for your team members.
Build and maintain strong collaborations with our stakeholders Ensure that all team activities are continuously aligned with business needs and our strategy.
Monitor environmental performance and identify risks or areas for improvement.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet established EHS ambitions, such as reducing accidents and injury, minimising emissions, and recycling waste.
Qualifications We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:   Need to have: A degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Preferably solid experience with EHSS, ideally in pharma manufacturing or large capital projects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to develop and implement EHSS policies and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in investigate environmental or safety incidents and implement waste management programs.
Capability to drive the evolution of Site Athlones behavioral safety risk programme and support the deployment of Operational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Ability to positively influence and collaborate with colleagues to enhance a self-sustaining EHSS culture   About the department  The role is based at our newly acquired site in Athlone, Ireland.
This is a collaborative and supportive team that values open communication and strategic thinking.
This role is focused on shaping our EHSS strategies and systems as well as supporting and leading the EHSS team of Novo Nordisk Production Ireland.
You will be reporting to the VP of Business Support and Integration .
