We are working with a top-tier design consultancy in Dublin that is looking to appoint a Head of Sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to influence and shape the sustainability strategy of a forward-thinking firm known for its cutting-edge, environmentally conscious designs. In this senior role, you will be at the forefront of driving sustainable practices across a wide range of prestigious projects.
In your role as Head of Sustainability, you will spearhead the development and implementation of the firm's sustainability strategy. You will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team, providing insight and guidance on sustainable best practices, ensuring that sustainability principles are integrated into all aspects of project design and delivery. You will oversee sustainability assessments, energy modeling, and carbon reduction strategies, ensuring the highest standards of environmental performance across all projects. A key part of the role will involve ensuring compliance with global sustainability certifications, such as LEED, BREEAM, and WELL, while continuously driving innovation in energy-efficient solutions and life cycle assessments.
As the leader of the sustainability function, you will mentor and manage a team of sustainability engineers and consultants, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration. You will also serve as the company's sustainability ambassador, building partnerships with external organizations and representing the firm at industry events, showcasing its commitment to creating sustainable, long-term solutions.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldExperience: 10+ years of experience in sustainability, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or managerial roleProven track record of managing sustainability strategies within the design or consultancy sectorsDeep understanding of sustainability frameworks and certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, etc.Expertise in energy modeling, carbon footprint assessments, and life cycle analysisStrong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for developing and growing talent within a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholdersA visionary mindset, with a proven ability to lead sustainability innovation and change management within an organizationThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a design consultancy that is recognized as a leader in sustainable innovation.
