The Head of Product Design will be the champion and leader of the newly formed product design team. A highly creative and conceptual thinker, you will lead your team in crafting a beautiful in-app experience that embodies the Feeld brand across all touch points. You'll sweat over the data and details to truly influence member behavior on the app to ensure we achieve business goals.
To be right for this role, you should have a strong track record of delivering leading edge digital product design with a strong appreciation of creative and brand strategy, as well as 5+ years' experience directly managing a team of designers.
What you will do:Create a vision and roadmap for bringing the brand mission and visual style to life across the entire product experience.Set and uphold the quality bar for Product Design across all Feeld products, in-line with brand strategy, brand identity and brand values.Lead and support the product designers as their People Coach, offering day-to-day direction, guidance, mentoring, and coaching to enable them to do their best work and achieve their individual developmental goals.Define and maintain Product Design principles and ways of working that are in-line with the wider Product Circle principles and ways of working to ensure a Product Design practice that is scalable and future proof.Work closely with analytics and user research to define and lead discovery and ideation processes across all product teams right through to testing and iteration.Be a thought-partner to the VP of Product, inputting into Product strategy and tactical initiatives by demonstrating the ability to make sound design decisions that uphold design quality and customer experience whilst staying accountable to business needs and goals.Manage the team to consistently deliver tested, validated and ready-to-build designs that delight the community and address business goals.Frequently demonstrate hands-on product design skills where required, whether working together with the team or independently, to achieve responsibilities at the quality required.About you:You have proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership position with people management and development responsibilities where you have yourself been on a growth journey.You are a visionary and creative design professional who cares about all aspects of the user experience.You are comfortable working within and leading a team through situations of high ambiguity with competing priorities.You are action-oriented and can help others to break big challenges down into manageable and actionable pieces.You are passionate about product design and its role in providing users with life-enriching product experiences.You have experience creating and evolving design systems in a way that facilitates and enhances product design and development without being overly bureaucratic.About us:Feeld is an independent, experimental and fully remote organisation reshaping the dialogue on dating and sexuality. A compensation system that is transparent, honest, and equitable.At Feeld we believe all humans deserve to make a competitive wage. That's why we offer a Baseline Freedom Salary of £60,000 GBP per year.Estimated compensation for this role:
The total cash compensation for this role is dependent on Level and Step, as well as geographic location, but we estimate that the competitive market compensation for this role is between €165,000 - €200,000 EUR based on the requirements listed in this job description.Our interview process:Your first conversation with Feeld will be a screening call with our recruiter, where you'll be able to ask - and receive answers - regarding any general questions you have and to confirm the role is a fit for what you're seeking.Your second conversation will connect you directly with the line manager for the role you're applying to. Here, you'll have a chance to ask more questions about the work you'll be doing. This conversation will also focus on your past work experiences.Your third conversation allows you the opportunity to meet the team members you might be working with on a daily basis. Here, you'll be able to ask questions about team processes, workflow, and the employee experience at Feeld.Your final conversation will be with the hiring owner for this role, and a leader from our Creative team.
