My client, a leading medical device manufacturer, based in North Dublin is in need of a Head of Supply Chain to join their existing procurement team This is an excellent career for a Supply Chain Manager with experience working with medical device organizations or other Large Multinational Manufacturing companies to join a successful and growing organization.

The duties for the Head of Supply Chain will include but are not limited to: This position has overall responsibility for the operational procurement, customer service, inbound & outbound logistics, customs compliance, planning and SAP management teams at the Dublin Manufacturing site.
Lead a team to ensure all materials are managed to ensure optimum quality and costs to support the manufacture of diagnostic equipment, meeting stringent health & safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Instrumental in supporting the overall strategic direction of the business and site.
Work closely with strategic procurement / global category managers to build strong relationships with suppliers Partner with IT and business excellence to streamline and digitalize the logistics and procurement processes Manage optimum costs across purchasing / indirect contracts / freight / 3PL warehousing The requirements for the desired Buyer include: Batchelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (QQI level 8).
8+ years of direct logistics and/or procurement experience at a Senior Management level.
Empowered leadership style, providing support, recognition and opportunity for growth.
Instrumental in delivering direct coaching to develop individuals and teams and developing succession planning roadmaps and a talent pipeline.
Ability to interact with and influence suppliers at a senior management level, to manage escalations.
Established commercial mind-set with the ability to assess and conclude business decisions with suppliers Team player, capable of building strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Good working knowledge of Procurement tools, processes, methods and reports.
Planning and analytical skills, ability to collate and analyse data for decision making.
Problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Capable of negotiating with and influencing suppliers to deliver business results.
Excellent oral communications, business writing skills and presentation skills.
