Background DCC is forming a JV with Impax to offer in-house solar financing to European solar PV customers. The aim is to boost competitiveness, target larger C&I customers, and cross-sell energy products. Initially, leases in France and PPAs in Ireland, expanding to UK, Germany, Austria, and Norway. The Asset Manager (Wewise Finance Solutions) will oversee EPC obligations, work with EMS and sales teams to target the right customers and scale the portfolio. The goal is a €300m portfolio in 5 years.
Purpose of the role The Head of Wewise Finance Solutions will lead the establishment and growth of a new joint venture (JV), focused on providing in-house solar financing to European C&I customers. This role is instrumental in building a €300m portfolio within 5 years by developing and executing a comprehensive business plan, building and leading a high-performing team, and ensuring operational excellence while driving commercial growth.
What will you do? Business SetupOversee the end-to-end setup of the JV, including legal, financial, and operational structures.Develop and implement robust operational processes, systems, and controls to ensure efficient and compliant operations.Drive commercial growth and profitability of the JV.With EMS develop and implement pricing strategies, sales processes, and customer acquisition plans.Collaborate with the EMS teams across Europe to identify and convert sales opportunities.Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to achieve the JV's goal of a €300m portfolio within 5 years.Identify target markets, develop go-to-market strategies, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.People ManagementBuild and develop a high-performing team capable of delivering on the JV's strategic objectives.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Oversee the financial performance of the JV, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Ensure financial stability and maximize profitability.Technology & InnovationDrive the adoption of technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.Foster a culture of innovation to develop new products and services.Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks.Develop and implement robust risk management strategies.Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including DCC, Impax, and external partners.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local EMS businesses to drive sales and collaboration.Create a community of asset finance focal points within each country.What do we look for? Proven track record in leading and scaling operations within the energy sector, ideally with a focus on solar finance.
Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable plans to deliver results.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams of approximately 10 people.
Deep financial acumen and experience in managing complex financial models and budgets.
Strong commercial acumen and experience in driving revenue growth and profitability.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
