Job role: Health and Safety Officer - Dublin
We are advertising a job role of Health and Safety Officer for an organisation that is one of Ireland's leading building contractors. This company is looking for a H&S officer to aid them in their mission of keeping the work environment safe. They promote health and safety as one of their main priorities.
Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures and respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; keep a focus on health and safety within the business.Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.Maintain records of incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.Deliver Toolbox Talks and liaise with HSE, Fire Officers, and Environmental Health Officers.Carry out regular site inspections to check that policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.Make changes to working practices to enhance safety and ensure compliance with current legislation.Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).2+ years in a similar role.Previous construction experience is preferred.IT Skills.Must work well as a team and be able to collaborate with others.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
