Health And Safety Officer

We have an immediate requirement for a Health and Safety Officer working on a residential construction project in the Cork City. This is a 5 month contract but may extend beyond that dependent on client requirements.Applicants must be residents of the EU or have a work visa permitting them to live and work in Ireland. Responsibilities:Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.
).Assist in the management of subcontractors.Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g.
not using protective equipment).Maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.Reviewing the SWP's (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on site.Carry out Toolbox Talks and inductions as requiredRequirements:1+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.Hold a recognised qualification in Health and Safety.Experience in Construction as Health and Safety Officer required.Safe Pass required.Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland
