Purpose of the Role: To provide a comprehensive support role to the Head of Health & Safety & the Health & Safety Team in all aspects of the Health & Safety Administration Functions across various businesses.
Main Responsibilities Maintaining comprehensive Health & Safety Management System to ensure it is kept up to date Providing a comprehensive administration support role to the Head of Health and Safety on a day to day basis Supporting the Health & Safety Team with various administration duties Keep records of incidents and maintain incident statistics for various business units Assist with the co-ordination of investigations, and ensure all paperwork retained and filed within H&S the Management System Designing, setting up and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets, Power Point Presentations, Safety Notices and other communications as required Organise information according to procedures by filing, data entry, checking/matching data, etc.
to ensure accurate records are maintained Assist with raising awareness of our health and safety culture Completing Purchase orders on behalf of the H&S team Managing email and telephone communications Administer occupational health & safety processes where necessary Administer and Support claims management with complete integrity and confidentiality Scheduling weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports on H&S Metrics and data analysis Dealing with ad-hoc duties as they arise Attending and recording 'Minutes' of Safety Committee meetings, Weekly H&S meetings, Conference Calls Collaborating with Human Resources on H&S specific & employee occupational health Person Specification High level of proficiency in Microsoft packages, including word, excel and outlook, and website updating.
Minimum of two years relevant work experience in similar role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative in a busy FMCG manufacturing business working across multi-disciplinary team and open to new challenges Demonstrable high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with evidence of being an effective team member.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
Excellent verbal and written English is essential H&S Qualification desirable but not essential In addition successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to demonstrate problem solving and decision making abilities Must have own vehicle and clean drivers licence Additional relevant information: The candidate may from time to time be required to attend site outside of normal working hours Recruitment Process 1.
