Health & Safety Advisor (Construction)– Dublin / Leinster Area

Our client, one of Ireland's leading construction contractors, is advertising a role for a H&S advisor.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated H&S professional to further their career within a growing organisation. You will be dealing with keeping the standard up to par across residential, commercial, and data centre projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities:Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; keep a focus on health and safety within the business.Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicate to all employees.Keep records of inspections findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.Keep records of incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.Deliver Toolbox Talks and liaise with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers.Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.Make changes to working practices to make them safer and ensure they comply with current legislation.Skills and qualifications:Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).2+ years in a similar role.Previous construction experience.Must work well as a team and be able to collaborate with others.This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
