We manufacture, supply and erect the timber frame structural shell.
As the Health & Safety Coordinator you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal standards.
You will promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization, fostering a safe working environment for all employees.
Kingspan Century operate an Integrated Management System(IMS) to the following ISO standards; ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 & ISO 37301. Responsibilities of our Health & Safety Coordinator Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations.
Risk Management: Ensuring that risk assessments are operational, reviewed, and managed to mitigate potential risks in the workplace. Program Development: Design and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to mitigate risks and enhance safety awareness.
Training & Education: Conduct training sessions for employees on EHS practices, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Environmental Monitoring: Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, electricity, and resource usage.
Implement strategies for sustainability and waste reduction.
Audit & Inspection: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
Prepare reports and track corrective actions.
Organise and support external audits, preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with auditors/audit bodies.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, training, inspections, and compliance audits.
Generate reports for management review.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to promote safety initiatives and ensure EHS considerations are integrated into operational practices.
Consultation & Participation: Facilitate regular committee meetings to encourage worker consultation and participation in EHS matters.
Gather feedback and insights from employees to continuously improve safety practices.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conducting drills and training sessions to ensure readiness.
Documentation & Organisation: Maintain accurate and organised records of EHS activities, training, inspections, and compliance audits.
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, easily accessible and maintained in line with document control protocols. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS practices and processes.
Implement feedback mechanisms to enhance safety culture and operational efficiency.
Reporting: Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EHS initiatives, submit month end reports and present to senior management team analyse of data, identified trends and any areas for improvement.
What we are looking for in our Health & Safety Coordinator. You will have: A professional qualification within the health & safety field (NEBOSH certificate or equivalent)? Previous experience working in a similar role. Excellent oral and written communication skills? Ability to establish and work towards achieving targets? Excellent organisational and strong workload prioritization skills? Experience of working with various IT programs i.e.
MS Word, Excel? Experience of working with and understanding ISO and SHE legislation?
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit: A professional qualification within the environmental field (Introduction to Waste Legislation and Compliance)? A professional qualification within the teacher/ training field (EDI Pearsons Level 3 Award in Education and Training)?
