What's in it for you: Salary of £50,000 - £60,000Pension contributionHealthcare planOpportunities for professional development Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Lead and mentor the health and safety team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective safety management across all levels.Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety practices into daily operations and foster a culture of safety awareness.Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.Coordinate and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and compliance.Monitor and review safety performance metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.Stay updated with the latest industry standards, legislation, and best practices related to health and safety.Manage emergency response plans and ensure all staff are adequately prepared for emergencies.Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory agencies and auditors to maintain compliance and address any issues that arise. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety, ideally within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards, particularly within the manufacturing sector.NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.Member of IOSHHACCP certification or extensive experience with HACCP principles.Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety strategies.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.For more information on this opportunity, please apply via the link or contact Karl Yellop at ****** for a confidential discussion.
