The CSR Group has been retained by one of Irelands leading contractors who are seeking to employ an intermediate level H&S professional.
This company works across all sectors within the construction industry mostly around the Dublin area. They class Health & Safety as being a main priority within their working environment.
You will be working under a mix of site and office work in the Greater Dublin Area whilst being available for travel if necessary.
The successful candidate will have prior H&S experience in construction with a strong understanding of H&S regulations in Ireland.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation Skills and qualifications:
Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) 2+ years in similar role This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
