About the role: A Health and Safety Officer is sought to join a dynamic team.
The role focuses on maintaining a safe working environment through comprehensive risk assessments, the implementation of safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with Irish health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH or IOSH certification, possess relevant experience in a similar role (preferably within construction or industrial environments), and demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Requirements: • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry.
• Ensure adherence to established safe work practices and standards.
• Maintain comprehensive safety records and prepare detailed reports for management, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures tailored to construction site requirements.
• Ability to conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Deliver health and safety training to workers and site personnel to improve safety awareness and practices.
• A proactive approach to promoting health & safety culture on site.
Responsibilities: • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
• Ensuring compliance with safe work practices.
• Maintaining safety records and preparing safety reports for management, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures for construction sites.
• Fostering a safety-first culture on-site and driving ongoing improvements in safety practices.
• Delivering health and safety training to workers and site personnel to enhance safety awareness.
