Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team at Hibernia Home Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be patient, empathetic and have a passion for caring for others.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Providing prompting with prescribed medication
Preparing and serving meals and snacks
Light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry
Assisting clients with mobility and transfers
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
Requirements: Minimum of 6 months experience in a care-giving role
QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent - must have 2 modules 'Care Skills' and 'Care of the Older Person' at a minimum (If you do not hold these qualifications, please take a look at our Hibernia Academy )
Full driving license and access to a car is desirable, but not essential depending on location
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
We can only employ individuals who are Irish Nationals, EU nationals or those who have pre-existing work authorisation.
