Hgv Class 1

All About the RoleBased at our Edinburgh, Newbridge site, the purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area.
This is a multi-drop role requiring an experienced Class 1 Driver.
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 07:00am to 5:00pm (although start/finish times can vary).Specific tasks include:To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premisesDriving both Class 1 and Class 2 Vehicles.Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.Adhere to all health and safety procedures.

Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business, ideally used to multi-drop deliveriesUnderstanding and experience of EHS requirements.
