Highfield Healthcare is excited to announce the launch of a newCommunity-Based Mental Health Service, openingMarch 2025, designed to meet the evolving needs of adults aged 18+ inLucan, West Dublin, and Kildare.
This cutting-edge initiative will provide a seamless continuum of care with: Day Hospital: Onsite therapeutic and medical interventions.
Home-Based Treatment Service: Acute care delivered in the comfort of a persons home.
Outpatient Services: Flexible access to ongoing mental health support.
This service is underpinned by mental health Recovery principles and offersdirect access to inpatient care when clinically required, ensuring comprehensive support for our service users.
To lead this innovative service, we are recruiting an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Social Worker on a part time basis.
This is a standalone social work role working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a community hub setting.
The post holder will be part of a wider social work team based in Highfield Hospital however will need to demonstrate an ability to work on own initiative.
It will involve carrying out home visits as well as work in a clinical setting with a 1:1 caseload and group work responsibility.
Eligibility Criteria Essential: Must be registered with CORU.
Drivers licence and access to a car.
Demonstrate sufficient clinical and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
Hold a National Qualification in Social Work (N.Q.S.W.)
or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work awarded by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work, U.K. or an equivalent qualification recognised for appointment to the post of Senior Social Worker in Ireland.
Have at least 3 years experience of working in a mental health setting, preferably a combination of acute and community-based roles.
Preferably experience of working in >65 an <65 caseloads as the role will involve working across both caseloads.
Group work facilitation skills.
Desirable: Additional professional qualification in Family Therapy.
