The School of Physics wishes to appoint a Research Fellow on the Horizon Europe project Neutrons and Photons Elevating Worldwide Science (NEPHEWS).
This role will entail managing and delivering the university's commitments working closely with the NEPHEWS coordinator and other partners in the NEPHEWS project in areas such as community building, outreach, communication, policy impact and coordinating and supporting the related actions of the partner European Users Organisations representing the users of the advanced neutron and photon research infrastructures.
Post status: This is a Specific Purpose Contract.
The specific purpose of this employment is to manage and deliver the university's administrative commitments under the NEPHEWS project.
This role will entail working closely with the NEPHEWS coordinator and other partners in the NEPHEWS project in areas such as community building, outreach, communication, policy impact and coordinating and supporting the related actions of the partner European Users Organisations representing the users of the advanced neutron and photon research infrastructures.Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as it is expected that this specific work will be completed in a finite period.
Your role is dependent on the ongoing need for this specialised support.
Termination of this contract will occur on completion of the work in which you are engaged, or in the event of the funding stream being terminated or withdrawn by the funding agencies.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer 2 salary scale (€56,703 to €66,627 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
