HOTEL DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER SOUTH DONEGAL The Property: Our client is a luxurious award winning property based in South Donegal a Destination Resort, Spa and Wedding Venue.
To further augment their existing team, they wish to make a key hire of a Deputy GM.
Overview: Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated and driven candidate with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and excellent results.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the Hotel.
Responsible for the maintenance of high standards, quality, and service.
This person must create a climate of professional & personable service that ensures the long-term satisfaction of team members and guests.
Responsibilities and Duties Co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
Attend and participate in all Management Team meetings.
Monitor and review the daily revenue report, the daily payroll report and the monthly profit and loss statement, analyse results and take action when necessary.
Prepare timely and accurate forecast projections with the General Manager and Director of Finance.
Monitor all standards in the hotel to ensure they are in place and enforced.
Train, coach and develop operational leaders.
Create an environment which promotes morale and encourages the team to have pride in their day to day duties.
Control all capital expenditures and ensure the proper guidelines are adhered to and projects are completed on a timely basis.
Conduct performance reviews of all Managers and guide Managers and Leaders in conducting their performance reviews.
Aid in the development of existing personnel and assist in the recruitment of new employees.
Control expenses through actively participating in all areas of the hotel operation.
Ensure facility is well maintained from both housekeeping and maintenance standpoints.
Assume authority of General Manager in his/her absence.
Meet and interact with guests, review all written guest comments and follow up on any guest service issues or needs promptly and efficiently.
What are we are searching for?
Minimum Requirements Hospitality Management Degree beneficial.
Minimum of five years experience as Operations Manager or Deputy General Manager in a 4 or 5 star Hotel.
Experience in managing and leading teams.
Ability to handle any pressure situations that may arise.
Skilled in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel.
Proficient in the use of front office systems such as Hotsoft.
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness to qualify potential opportunities and increase profitability of the hotel.
Proven financial ability.
Previous experience in the Irish market and international market would be a distinct advantage.
Proven ability to motivate and develop a positive work culture.
Must be able to multi task and be very detail orientated.
Self-motivated and hard working.
Additional info Job Type: Full-time Permanent Role; Competitive salary circa €65-70k.
