Hotel Receptionist The Role: To anticipate customer needs and to satisfy same through delivery of high standards of customer care as required by company policy Reporting to: Will report on a daily basis to the Group Revenue Manager and Supervisor of the Department, while liaising with the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department.
The Person: We are seeking candidates with a proven track record as a Hotel Reservationist who can demonstrate the ability to successfully operate in a guest focused manner; always striving to exceed guest expectations thereby building customer brand and loyalty.
The Hotel: The Castletroy Park Hotel, a leading Limerick Hotel, is ideally located in the heart of the Mid west of Ireland and is the closest 4* hotel in Limerick to the M7 motorway from Dublin.
This luxury hotel is just 2.5 miles from Limerick City, surrounded by superb amenities and is easily accessible via Shannon International Airport, just 25 minutes drive away.
The Internationally acclaimed University of Limerick UL, University Sports Arena (Olympic sized Pool), University Concert Hall, Irish World Academy of Music & Dance, Irish Chamber Orchestra are adjacent to the hotel.

Key Responsibilities include: MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Basic - To report for duty on time and in full and correct uniform in accordance with company policy.
To ensure all calls are answered promptly, courteously and efficiently at all times.
To send out all correspondents and confirmation letter out promptly via mail or email.
To answer all email and mail coming into reservations.
To develop knowledge and maximise use of the Front Office Computer Systems.
To ensure all data is input and recorded in the computer systems accurately and in a timely manner.
To up sell company products / services.
To ensure all appropriate deposits are obtained as required by company policy.
To liaise with all departments to ensure maximum satisfaction of guest.
To carry out necessary shift work where necessary in other departments (Reception).
To cold and warm call companies and clients.
To liaise with unsatisfied customers in a professional manner and report incidents to Management To implement and maintain hygiene standards as set out by the Company.
To maintain an up-to-date filing system to include all correspondence from enquiry stage to confirmation, updates and /or cancellations as required.
To carry out end of shift procedures i.e.
snap shot reports.
To adhere to company Health and Safety policy and current Health and Safety Legislation.
To implement company procedure in the event of fire or emergency.
To ensure all guest details and account details are correct and in accordance with hotel credit policy regarding change.
To take part in company internal and external training as required.
To prepare necessary documents for internal or external audits.
To carry out any reasonable requests by Management.
Sop- To write procedures in order to guarantee that all employees use an identical procedure designed to protect both the company and the employee.
To be validated by SMR and GM.
To verify actively that procedures written as SOPs are respected any digression should be brought to the managers attention and dealt with accordingly.
Yield - To update yield sheets as per rota and inform all necessary departments of these rates.
To insure that rates communicated are applied.
To maximise revenue by carrying out Yield revenue principles as directed.
To work as part of a team.
To report trends / changes in customer requirements.
To constantly monitor availability during a shift and modify as necessary.
To animate a thorough and accurate weekly yield meeting whereby price and promotion are discussed.
To apply the yield discussed in the yield meeting only to be digressed with approval from hierarchy To be principle employee responsible for growing both rate and occupancy.
Third party websites - To sell and cross sell the hotels products and services in a professional manner in accordance with company policy.
To monitor and update websites and GDS sites as required.
To carry out 24hr, 36hr 1week, 2 week and 1 month arrival checks on all business.
To handle all customer inquiries, requests and bookings in a professional and courteous manner.
Tour - To liaise with sales manager and SMR manager to develop accommodation sales strategy and pricing.
To collate tour information.
RFP- After consultation with FOH and sales manager respond to RFPs within the given timelines.
VIPs Responsible for the VIP procedures and welcome messages put in place 2013.
