Role Purpose: Based in the HR Department in our Head Offices in Dublin, the HR Advisor will be responsible for providing HR support and guidance to the Senior Management team (SMT) and Departmental and Line Managers on a range of HR issues.
Responsibilities: Responsible for arranging and facilitating monthly management meetings with the Senior Management team to ensure that we continue to integrate HR into their business objectives; Responsible for representing the voice of SMT and Managers within HR to inform the creation of a HR strategy/agenda that meets the needs of the business and overall organizational strategy; Responsible for providing best practice advice and guidance to managers and employees, as necessary, in relation to a wide range of HR matters, ensuring that, as an organization, we are continually providing the best response; Provide guidance to management and employees on resolving employee relations issues, ensuring that our policies and procedures foster a positive working environment; Manage grievances, investigations, or disciplinary procedures as required; Act as an escalation point for any complex queries received through the HR Helpdesk; Act as the bridge between HR Operations and L&OD, correlating business requirements with L&OD initiatives, for example, career development, talent management, succession planning, performance management; Support the HR Policy Specialist as required with the review of key HR policies; Carry out exit interviews with leavers from the organisation and monitor feedback from online surveys; Produce relevant HR qualitative and quantitative reports; Provide on-call cover for the 24-hour emergency phone; Accept, advance, and pursue any new objectives or responsibilities that may be assigned by the HR Manager; Ensure that the organisation's values and policy commitments, including accountability, equality, and safeguarding, are reflected in assigned responsibilities and contribute to positive internal and external working relationships within the HR Overseas Team and with stakeholders/customers; All staff are responsible for upholding and promoting Concern's values, including our workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding values; All staff are required to participate and contribute as necessary towards Concern's emergency response as and when required. Role Holder Requirements: A qualification in Human Resource management or a relevant discipline; At least four years' experience in the field of Human Resources with a preference for both generalist HR and international experience; Demonstrable experience of multiple aspects of employee relations, HR procedures, and ROI employment legislation; Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven experience in a business-facing role with the confidence and ability to interact with all levels of the organization; Strong stakeholder focus; Working knowledge of employee relations processes; The ability to work as both part of a team and on own initiative; Competencies: Candidates are expected to demonstrate abilities in the following priority competency areas:
