HRIS Operations Specialist (Permanent, Fulltime) This role is aligned to the HSE Pay Scale of Clerical Officer Grade V. (Under the Governance of Mercy University Hospital Cork CLG.)
The HR Specialist is an essential member of the Human Resources Team.
They must communicate effectively with all members of the HR Team as well as external parties to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities: Coordinate, prepare and process all pay related HR transactions within payroll deadlines, including but not limited to: employee absences, contract changes, starters and leavers on a fortnightly and monthly basis, etc.
Process all HR transactions, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Preparation of accurate and timely HR pay-related and other reports as required.
Implementation of HSE Circulars, Memos and all other regulatory requirements as prescribed.
Dealing with day to day queries on employee leave and contract changes.
Maintain system data accuracy through monthly checks and audits, correcting processing errors and retraining others as required to maintain quality standards.
Manage HR systems and data.
Ensure the efficient day-to-day administration of your area of responsibility.
Ensure deadlines are met and that service levels are maintained.
Support the preparation and issuing of office documentation (e.g.
correspondence, reports, employee contracts, etc) to the highest possible standard by monitoring own and peers work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Use appropriate technology to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
Maintain own knowledge of relevant HSE & MUH policies, procedures, guidelines and practices, to perform the role effectively and to ensure current work standards are met by own team.
Systems maintenance & data integrity.
Update the system with new joiners, leaver, transfers, management and departmental changes as required.
Develop standards and procedures to improve service delivery and audit same.
Assist in testing upgrades and new system functionality.
Answer systems related questions and escalate cases to software contractors that require further support.
HR Department General Support as required.
Eligibility Criteria: Level 7 Degree (or higher) in HR, Business, Administration, Accounting or Management preferred.
Must have 3+ years in a HRIS, Payroll, Systems or similar environment.
IPASS qualification or similar preferred.
Strong MS Excel experience essential.
Experience working and supporting numerous stakeholders essential.
Experience working with either HRIS, Time and Attendance or Payroll systems essential.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
Hospital and/or Public Sector Experience a distinct advantage.
