Job Title: HSE (Health and Safety) Consultant
Job Purpose: Working as a consultant within different industrial and energy facilities, to enhance organizational health, safety, and environmental performance by conducting rigorous HSE culture and climate audits and report outs, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 standards, and integrating company-specific cultural assessments into safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitate comprehensive HSE culture and climate assessments using both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify current versus desired states of HSE culture.Translate assessment findings into actionable HSE strategic plans, ensuring alignment with core organizational values and operational goals.Implement and oversee the strategic HSE initiatives, integrating techniques for behavioral and process enhancements.Develop and refine workplace safety policies and training programs, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and fostering a culture that exceeds the Schein culture model's observations.Lead workshops and training sessions to enhance safety leadership across the client organisations, focusing on supporting the creation of client executive personalised commitment and proactive safety leadership and management.Engage directly with all levels of leadership to embed HSE values deeply within the company's operations, using innovative communication and educational tools.Regularly review and report on the effectiveness of HSE initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 4 years in a management or advisory capacity.Bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental safety, or a related field.Deep knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements and ISO 45001, with direct experience in applying these in diverse operational contexts.Strong knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.Proficient in writing health and safety policies and procedures.Skilled in data analysis, reporting statistics, and using safety management software.Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.Excellent project management skills, capable of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.Strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable, sustainable practices.Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics to track and improve HSE outcomes.Travel info: This role will be based in the Middle East (3 weeks in Middle East and a week off in Ireland). All travel/accommodation/expenses are covered. Experience working in the Middle East a nice to have but not necessary.
Full support given by existing team, who will be also in the Middle East.
