Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety related statutory provisions & legislation.
* Adherence to the STS HSEQ Management system.
Company is ISO accredited to 9001, 14001 & 45001.
* Development of project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (Plans, RAMS etc).
* Coordination of project HSE indicators.
* Carry out regular site HSE audits and inspection, document results and follow up on any corrective actions.
* Assist or carry out accident/incident/near-miss investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to project and group management.
* Ensure Environmental, Sustainability, Waste reduction & recycling programmes are maintained in line with company policies & procedures.
* Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues.
* Ensure that best practices in HSE are promoted & maintained at all times.
* Ensure records of statutory inspections are available for project activities.
* Adopt a Proactive approach to project HSE requirements.
* Ensure the project supply chain are managed, monitored & adhere to project HSE policies & procedures.
* Ensure that STS site induction & training is coordinated, managed & maintained.
* Project PPE is resourced & available.
* Ensure HSE meetings are organised and minutes are retained.
* Liaise with relevant third parties such as Client & CMT representatives.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification: Essential * Proficient in English both written & spoken.
* Relevant third level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
* 3+ year's experience of being a HSE Officer on construction sites.
* Thorough knowledge of current HSE related legislation & regulations for the Ireland.
* Strong computer skills required.
* Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Desirable * Electrical or Engineering background or have worked for M&E companies.
* Previous experience of working on Pharmaceutical projects.
