As HSE Officer, based out of Dublin with travel throughout Ireland, you will audit and implement the management of the company health, safety and environmental processes.
Our client is a specialises in no-dig engineering services, pipeline investigation, and repair in the utility sector.
Due to major contract awards in Ireland, they are looking to add a HSE Officer who will work in conjunction with the Operations Manager, and Director to ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained.
If you are a self-starter with a technical background and an interest in developing your career in Health and Safety, then this could your next move.
You will also need strong people skills with the ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator, and able to take the initiative and function independently.
Your new employer is happy to support you in NEBOSH training and develop a full CPD programme in line with the requirements for this role to be successfully undertaken.
As HSE Officer your duties will include but not be limited to the following: *Please note this is an immediate requirement so early application is advisable* Promote acceptance of sound safety practices and encourage full participation of all company personnel throughout the operations Work directly and build relationships with Field Management to balance environmental, health & safety requirements with production goals to ensure compliance with safety-related regulations, systems and practices.
Perform random inspections of job sites, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and investigations.
Solve safety related problems on the work site.
Immediately deal with identified problems by giving specific advice for the correction of the problem(s) to the appropriate staff.
Complete onboarding for new hires.
Recommend safety-related programs, activities, recognition for employees Provide various types of Environmental, Health & Safety training to all levels of employees To be considered for this role you will have: A minimum of 2 years of progressive Health, Safety and Environmental experience.
Experience working with regulatory agencies, external auditors and internal clients is necessary.
