HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR Permanent, Full time Contract The HR Director will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The HR Director will have overall responsibility for the development and delivery of key human resource strategies and policies for Mercy University Hospital, including Manpower Planning, Resourcing and Recruitment, Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership, Industrial and Employee Relations, Medical Manpower, Employee Wellbeing, Performance Management, HR Administration, Governance & Compliance, and Pensions.
Responsibilities: Strategy and Operations Provide expert HR and ER support, direction and guidance on all matters relating to HR and HR Processes to managers and staff working within the Integrated Health Areas to ensure compliance with best practice and legislation.
Contribute to the development and roll out of the employee experience initiatives focused on communication, engagement, health and wellbeing, Employee Assistance etc.
Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies that promotes the as an employer of choice to attract the highest calibre of staff with the appropriate skill mix.
Assist in the development of an organisational culture that values people, their skills, ideas, and contribution and genuinely seeks to empower individuals and champion the MUH's Values in Action.
General HR Planning & Analysis Prepare an annual HR plan and deliver against same.
Establish appropriate internal controls, governance, policies, and procedures to deliver on key HR initiatives in a compliant manner.
Leadership & Development Management of Specialist HR Teams. Lead, supervise and ensure the wellbeing of staff within your area of supervision.
Create and maintain a positive working environment among staff members, which contributes to maintaining and enhancing effective working relationships.
Strategic Projects/Change Management Lead all efforts associated with the development and execution of strategic and operational HR Plans and initiatives that support the overall running of the Hospital.
Drive Strategic Projects e.g.
Succession Planning, Staff Development Framework.
Provide high quality HR support during change projects, resource & headcount planning, training needs, audits, and all other HR related needs.
Work with all Education and Professional development providers (internal & External) to support all hospital staff.
HR Partnering Develop a deep understanding of the operational and strategic challenges facing the MUH and support the delivery of strategic objectives a HR perspective.
Industrial & Employee Relations Management of Industrial & Employee Relations issues at a strategic level.
Eligibility Criteria: A third level qualification in Human Resources or a related field is essential.
7-10 years senior experience in a HR environment.
Significant management experience which should include staff management.
Proven ability in developing and implementing plans at a strategic and operational level.
Experience in the delivery of a safe and quality service through multi-disciplinary and cross sectoral working.
