The successful candidate will all be the key point of contact for all IFRS 16 related queries from both the financial reporting team and the wider business.Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:Performance of IFRS 16 controls and processes, along with ensuring a quality & timely month end close process that is compliant with Group accounting policies.Provide input and commentary to be included in the monthly reporting pack and act as business partner to the property team.Management of the Live Property Lease register, ensuring all data is accurately recorded.Responsible for providing useful insights into trends, stakeholder management, investigation and correction of data anomalies.Role will involve working with IT, local teams and external stakeholders to automate manual processes and speed up month end close.Responsible for designing and creating an up to date live lease register along with process mapping the property process from the initiation stage to recognition in our financial statements.Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations preparation.We Are Looking For You, If You Have:EssentialQualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), with 3+ years post qualification experience.
Excellent analytic skills with commercial acumen.Strong prioritisation, organisational and people management skills.Strong technical accountancy experience.Ability to communicate and adapt communication style to a wide variety of stakeholdersDesirableExperience with SAP and HFM accounting systemsPrior experience with IFRS16 in a financial reporting contextWho we are:Vodafone is pioneering Ireland's gigabit society.
