Infrastructure Security Architect

Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic technical guidance for projects across security, application, infrastructure, and DevOps, ensuring alignment with overall architecture and company standards.
Lead the creation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient IT solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs.
Develop and maintain clear architectural documentation and effectively communicate it to relevant teams.
Take charge of technical engagements, contributing to planning activities such as resource allocation, timelines, and cost assessments.
Act as a key technical authority to resolve any design challenges during the implementation phase.
Play a significant role in the ongoing evolution of the company's architectural approach, sharing insights and improvementsSkills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a proven track record of delivering complex projects, especially within the security space.
Hands-on experience with technologies such as: VMWare NSX.
Cisco Datacenter, LAN, WAN, and wireless networking.
Security solutions like micro-segmentation, firewalls, IPS, and encryption.
Technologies related to load balancing and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
A strong understanding of emerging security trends, including Zero Trust, Security AI Ops, and strategies for deploying cloud versus on-premises solutions.
Knowledge of risk management frameworks and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS).
Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines, such as GDPR, NIS2, and other European Union regulations.All applicants must be based in the Republic of Ireland and eligible to work full-time without restrictions.
