Inpatient Spine Liaison Nurse - CNM212th November 2024 Location: Dublin Contract Type: Permanent Email: Closing Date: 15th November 2024 Role summaryTo hold a key role in the management of the in-patients of the Poynton SpineCare at Mater Private Network.
Complete regular in-patient ward rounds in collaboration with spine consultants.Communicate with all consultants of the Poynton Spine Care at Mater Private Network, other consultants or GPs who refer patients to the service.Work collaboratively with other persons to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care is used for all patients referred to patients of the Poynton SpineCare at Mater Private Network.
Provide mentorship, preceptorship and education for nursing colleagues as appropriate.Organise the planning and implementation of care for spine patients and their significant others.Application criteriaRegistered General Nurse with The Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register with NMBI.5 years post-registration experience in the acute hospital setting/relevant clinical area within the last seven years.A minimum of three years' experience in the specialist area of orthopedics and / or spine surgery.Management experience desirable.Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice.Have evidence of continuing professional development.Formal recognized post-registration education relevant to the area of specialist practice at level 8 (higher Diploma) according to the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework is desirable.MATER PRIVATE NETWORK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYER
