Instructor - Children Services, St. Augustine's Permanent Full Time (39hrs) contract (Possibility of a 11-month contract to account for Summer) Saint John of God Community Services, Dublin South East Services are now inviting applications for the post of Instructor in Children Services.
This role involves supporting young people with learning support needs in our Vocational Development Department and/or the Extended day programme - based in St Augustine's, Blackrock.
Dublin South East provides a network of education, training, employment, respite and community living supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Dublin .

Role Summary The role involves developing and delivering programme supports in a Vocational Development Department and/or Extended day programme must remain flexible working in both areas. Applicants should have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities and class facilitation. Minimum Requirements A Level 6 qualification (QQI) or above, or equivalent is required e.g.
Social Care/ Training/ Education/ Teaching etc.
Experience Experience in delivery of QQI modules or similar training.
A proven track record in the delivery of Person-Centred services and supports.
Experience in working with young people with learning support needs.
Abilities to advocate, challenge, negotiate.
Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A Full Irish Driver's License (please advise on application including detail of penalty pts.
Desirable: Experience in working with individuals with Autism advantageous.
Experiencing in delivery training module/courses.
Management of a class group of 4-6 students.
Applying innovative and creative approaches in delivery of learning goals.
Remuneration Salary Grade 6425 Supervisor/Instructor (Specialist Agencies) on the Consolidated HSE pay scale.
€34,081 - €49,864 Location The location of this role is Blackrock Co. Dublin .
However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
