Instructor/Facilitator (Workability: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme St Marks School and Project SEARCH) Full-Time 35 hours per week Fixed Term Contract to 31st August 2028 Senior Supervisor/Instructor Pay Scale €38,620 to €52,575 The Instructor/Facilitator will guide and support the service user throughout the training and employment process so that the Service User may achieve maximum independence in their chosen career. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Instructor/Facilitator role aims to ensure individuals are respected, treated with dignity. This role will be employed by Kare with the support of Pobal. Pobal works on behalf of Government, and in conjunction with communities and local agencies, to support social inclusion and local and community development. Responsibilities Support the individual to enhance their life by ensuring that the goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Support Plan under the area of Work and Career are achieved Lead the development of pre-employment supports, in partnership with St Marks School, to include facilitating access to a bespoke work experience programme, organising pre employment education in conjunction with the school curriculum Develop an individualised plan that encompasses the development of a career path that includes accessing Project SEARCH Facilitate the Individual to learn new skills by and when appropriate, specifically on the job training to assist the service user to complete job specific and work-related tasks Support the individual when appropriate, to undertake personal/social skills related to their work Liaise with the employer and relevant co-workers with regard to supporting the individual Support where appropriate with regards to Personal and Intimate Care plans and SAMMs policy Requirements Qualification: QQI Level 5 Intellectual Disability Practice - 5 Components must include Empowering the Individual, Intellectual Disability and Community Inclusion Have an interest in supporting people with an intellectual disability to be part of their community through their job Have the ability to develop and implement systematic training plans for individuals with an intellectual disability (on the job training) IT skills and the ability to carry out administrative tasks e.g., e-mail correspondence, report writing, use of assistive technology Enjoy working on your own with a person with an intellectual disability Have the ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with the individual, their family and their employer and co-workers Have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle Benefits 25 days annual leave Rewarding work with flexible hours Employee Assistance Programme Contributory Pension Plan Optional Salary Protection Plan Personal Development, Professional Growth and Career Progression How to Apply Please submit your current CV and cover letter, outlining your suitability for the role.
