Internal Communication and Engagement Officer I am currently seeking an Internal Communications and Engagement Officer based for our client, a government body.
This role is responsible for the planning and implementation of a communications strategy to engage with staff in both the head office and offsite locations.
This position requires a highly experienced professional with a background in internal communications, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
This is a hybrid position, based in Mayo.
Main Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and assess internal communication strategies, campaigns, and activities that align with the organization's strategic objectives.Work closely with leadership, strategy, and HR teams to engage employees and integrate new processes and ways of working.Ensure effective communication of key initiatives and projects to employees and stakeholders, ensuring alignment between internal and external messaging when appropriate.Plan, write, and edit content for various internal communication platforms, including the staff intranet, email bulletins, a monthly magazine, and social media.Maintain a well-balanced mix of communication channels, events, and content to foster a culture of engagement and promote positive employee behaviours.Help managers and senior leaders develop effective internal communication strategies and deliver impactful messaging.Use employee survey feedback and other insights to improve communication strategies, enhance engagement, and increase organizational dialogue.Ensure that all communications adhere to organizational policies on editorial standards, diversity, health and safety, and financial and people management.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.Plan and organize internal events, such as Leadership Forums and Townhalls, both virtually and on-site.Work with directors across departments to foster a positive work culture and support the execution of the engagement roadmap.Provide communication and change management advice to project teams, HR teams, and colleagues.Role Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience in delivering organizational engagement initiatives for large employee groups (300+ staff).Demonstrated success in delivering cultural change programs and engagement strategies.Proficiency in using mass communication systems such as Poppulo and strong ICT skills.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively on change projects.Fluency in Irish would be an advantage.A Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in communications or a related field is desirable.Please apply today if you are interested or contact ****** with an updated CV with any queries.
