International Logistics Specialist

CREGG is currently seeking an experienced and motivated International Logistics Specialist to oversee and manage the international logistics operations for Irelands largest solar products distributor.
With headquarters in Shannon and offices in Spain, the UK, and Italy this is an excellent opportunity for talent to make a long-lasting impact within the international logistics and supply chain management space.
Key Responsibilities: Logistics Coordination: Plan, manage, and monitor the international transportation of products, ensuring timely delivery to customers across various regions.
Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, and distribution partners to optimize inventory flow and reduce costs.
Customs Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, including customs documentation, import/export compliance, and tariffs.
Carrier Management: Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics providers to secure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions.
Inventory Control: Work closely with the operations team to maintain accurate inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve logistics issues, including delays, damaged shipments, and customs challenges, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
Strong understanding of international shipping regulations Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
