Inventory Technician

We are recruiting for an Inventory Technician roles for our client site in, Dun Laoghaire.
We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and has good customer service skills to join our team.
Full training will be given.
Previous experience in a similar role an advantage but not essential.
Purpose: To ensure effective material management positively impacts the production and quality objectives of our customers.
To be aware of and apply continuous improvement skills to improve efficiencies in stores management.
Develop a continuous improvement culture to identify and eliminate the source of failures.
Inventory Technicians will report to the EES Site lead.
Dimensions: Responsibility for providing a best in class stores management service for our customers.
To be fully integrated as a supplier of choice into the production and quality objectives of our customers.
Work in a GMP continuous Good Manufacturing Environment with particular focus on standard operating procedures (SOPs) | Key outputs: Comply with ISC stores processes to ensure compliance with Amgen requirements Proactively work with Stores network to identify process improvement opportunities Inspect and Receipt of Incoming goods, handling of non-conforming product Conduct Inter Stores Transfers to improve Stock Turn and aged stock profile.
Manage Reservations/kitting of spares for all Planned maintenance work for Craft teams Ensure Engineering Spares SAP Material Masters are maintain to standards (Naming conventions; Bill of Materials; no duplicate parts across Storage locations, min/max level optimisation; aged stock reviews; criticality) To minimise the risk of Stock Outs through detailed analysis and purchase order tracking.
To carry out routine analysis of stock movements -ABC Analysis, Cycle Count Analysis, Competitive Pricing analysis, Supplier Lead time analysis To record information relating to the procurement and management of materials.
To demonstrate flexibility in terms of attitude and work practices.
To apply continuous improvement skills to drive site performance in terms of customer service and quality towards best in class standards.
To be aware of key performance indicators and act to ensure that they are achieved To demonstrate a strong commitment to personal & team development.
To support other team members and develop positive relationships with colleagues, including contract personnel.
To use skills to drive site towards world class plant materials management standards.
Pro-actively pursue & adopt a safe and professional approach to all aspects of individual & team based activity.
Take a proactive role in Projects.
To manage procurement of materials and services & appropriation of stores items.
(This will require the individual to e proficient in and fully utilise the SAP ) Work with Maintenance teams on repair program management Work in partnership with external Procurement resource/Integrator to achieve savings and cost avoidance targets (reverse engineering; consignment stock; consumables vendor managed inventory; decoupling spares from service contractors) Maintain high levels of 5S in stores to support achievement of H&S, Environmental standards, and efficient store layout and materials movements Ensure Visual Management boards are up to date with key agreed Stores performance measures Support standardisation of spares components linked to Capital Expenditure projects .
NEED TO KNOW Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrate detailed understanding of stores management Quality & Environmental systems.
Demonstrate detailed understanding of our customers requirements.
Understand and be proficient in information systems, e.g.
SAP, Microsoft Excel & Computerised Maintenance Management systems.
Understand how materials management impacts on a planned maintenance program Understand how to apply diagnostic and problem solving skills in a determining the root cause of supply failures.
Understand how to manage relationships with others effectively Experience: 2 years experience/competence in a procurement or stores management role an advantage.
Experience of developing and applying best practice in the stores management of engineering material.
Experience of resolving issues and expediting the supply of material to reduce the risk of stock outs.
Experience of working in a high performance team and delivering agreed objectives.
