Job Summary An opportunity has arisen to join the Investment Solutions team reporting to the Head of Investment Solutions. The team works with an investment focus within Zurich Life Assurance plc, based in our office in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Zurich Life manages over €38 billion of assets on behalf of policyholders, managed predominately by the award winning in house active investment management team. The team inputs into various aspects of Zurich's investment proposition and management, and the role will involve liaising with key stakeholders across the wider business including departments such as Marketing, Distribution, Product Solutions, and the Investment Front Office.
This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
Your Role As an Investment Solutions Analyst your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
• To join one of Ireland's most successful investment & fund providers, with an award- winning investment management team
• The opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the fund management industry, investment product creation, through to marketing and distribution
• The opportunity to help shape and influence Zurich Life's investment fund messaging and strategy over the medium term.
• Access and interaction with the investment management team, both front and back office
• On the job internal training and mentoring from both a theoretical and practical perspective
• Further education support as appropriate
Produce and present external reports on fund metrics such as performance attribution and asset allocation Support the production of external investment marketing and communications collateral, particularly macroeconomic and investment market commentary Assist in the production and quality control of client presentations and reviews Build and maintain market knowledge in relation to fund offerings and investment trends that are relevant to the business from a commercial perspective Assist with regulatory compliance (including analysis, report writing, presenting) across a number of relevant subject areas (e.g., sustainability) Conduct research into trends on specific asset classes (equities, bonds, alternatives) and wider macroeconomic issues Your Skills and Experience As an Investment Solutions Analyst your skills and qualifications will include:
• 1-3 years' experience in a relevant role
• A strong academic background in a related field, accompanied with excellent proficiency in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• The motivation to pursue further professional qualifications (CFA, CAIA)
• A motivated self-starter, willing to take responsibility for specific tasks
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously as required
• A willingness to stay up to date with fast moving investment market developments
• An excellent attention to detail
• Quantitatively minded and comfortable with investment metrics and datasets
• The ability to summarise and present key investment topics to an external audience
• A deep interest in investment matters; demonstrated through work placements, project subject matter, course module preferences.
Additional Information Primary work location is Blackrock, Co.Dublin.
