OVERVIEW We are looking for a motivated Irish Gaelic Linguist & Translator Intern to join our team.

In this position you will assist with linguistic tasks such as quality control, translation, and localization while gaining hands-on experience in a professional language services environment.

MAIN DUTIES - Assist with copy-editing tasks for assigned projects or accounts in Irish Gaelic.
- Perform on-demand translation tasks between Irish Gaelic and English.
- Support linguistic adaptation tasks for English content.
- Assist in managing and maintaining linguistic materials, including glossaries, style guides, and project-specific documentation.
- Contribute to project-related queries and collaborate with team members to resolve terminology or language issues.
- Support quality assurance processes by testing and qualifying new freelancers and vendors.
- Participate in the development of new working processes and provide input for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including freelancers and clients, on linguistic matters.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Translation, Applied Languages, or a related field.
- Native or near-native fluency in Irish Gaelic and English.
- Familiarity with localization processes and translation workflows.
- Basic understanding of CAT tools (, XTM, SDL Studio) and issue-tracking tools (, JIRA) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
